Maria Eduarda Tavares Simões is a Brazilian writer, editor, and creative based in New York. Her work moves between literature, publishing, and visual culture.

Originally from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, she received a B.A. in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Berkeley, and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Creative Publishing and Critical Journalism at The New School for Social Research, where she also studies Migration.

She is interested in publications as cultural and political objects, and in the ways text, image, and design shape the circulation of stories across media.
